Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers restore lost volume, smooth deeper lines and folds, and enhance features such as the lips, cheeks, jawline and chin. Our approach at Faceworx is a subtle one. We want to enhance what you already have, not change the way you look.
Every filler treatment starts with a consultation, so we can understand what you want to achieve and recommend the right product and amount for you.
What are dermal fillers?
Fillers are smooth gels, usually made from hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the skin. They’re carefully injected beneath the skin to restore volume, soften lines and folds, and define facial contours.
As we age, the skin gradually loses collagen and volume. Fillers replace that lost volume and support the skin, which is why they work so well for nose-to-mouth lines, marionette lines, cheeks that have lost their fullness and lips that have thinned over time.
Hyaluronic acid fillers can also be dissolved if ever needed, which is one of the reasons they’re so widely used and trusted.
What to expect at your appointment
After your consultation, treatment usually takes 20 to 40 minutes depending on the areas being treated. We can apply a numbing cream first, and many fillers contain a local anaesthetic as well, so most clients find it comfortable.
You’ll see a difference straight away, although there can be some swelling at first (especially with lips) which settles over the next few days. Mild bruising or tenderness at the injection sites is possible and usually short-lived.
Depending on the product used and the area treated, results typically last between 6 and 18 months.
Which areas can be treated?
Popular areas include the lips, cheeks, nose-to-mouth lines, marionette lines, chin and jawline. At your consultation we’ll look at your face as a whole and suggest where treatment will make the most difference, which is sometimes not the area you first had in mind.
Why choose FACEWORX in Billericay?
Filler results come down to the skill and judgement of the person doing the injecting. At Faceworx you’re treated personally by Denise, a qualified practitioner, at our private clinic in Little Burstead, Billericay, within easy reach of Basildon, Brentwood, Wickford and Chelmsford.
We use trusted, premium products and we never over-fill. If a result is better built up gradually over a couple of visits, that’s what we’ll recommend.

Frequently asked questions
How long do dermal fillers last?
It varies by product and area, but hyaluronic acid fillers generally last between 6 and 18 months before being naturally broken down by the body.
Do dermal filler injections hurt?
Most clients find treatment comfortable. A numbing cream can be applied beforehand, and most fillers contain a local anaesthetic too.
Will my results look natural?
That’s always the goal. We keep things subtle and would rather build a result up gradually than over-treat. Hyaluronic acid fillers can also be dissolved if ever required.
Is there any downtime after fillers?
Most people get back to normal straight away. Some swelling, tenderness or minor bruising is possible for a few days, particularly after lip treatments.
How much do dermal fillers cost?
Pricing depends on the area being treated and the amount of product needed, so we give you a personalised quote at your consultation. There’s no obligation to go ahead.
